NAPPA APPEARANCE:
Nappa is a tall and very muscular man . Although his Saiyan genes give him the appearance of a thirty-year-old, Nappa is around 50 years old when he first appears in Dragon Ball Z. Sporting a fairly thin mustache, it tends to change slightly over the years. sagas. Although bald during the Saiyan Saga, we see that Nappa had hair when he worked for Vegeta's family. Unlike Vegeta, Nappa seems very attached to the Saiyan race and seems to show affection for each of his peers. THE STORY OF NAPPA BEFORE DRAGON BALL Z
Nappa was born into a noble family between the year 702 and 712, and therefore has a high rank and power level compared to other Saiyans, which automatically makes him a high-level warrior. At a young age, he fought alongside his comrades during the war between the Saiyan race and the Tsuful people . Nappa was Prince Vegeta's direct subordinate and was impressed from the first moments when he saw the young prince defeat entire groups of Saibamen single-handedly. At this time on a mission with Raditz and Vegeta, Nappa will then be part of the rare Saiyan survivors with his companions, narrowly escaping the destruction of the planet Vegeta.
Returning from their conquest of the planet Shikk, Dodoria, Zarbon and Frieza address them more insults than congratulations. Nappa then practically loses control of himself and tries to attack them. Vegeta then orders Nappa to calm down and stand down knowing full well that they will have no chance of winning against them. 🤔
Nappa would later inform Vegeta of rumors that the Saiyan Planet was actually destroyed by Frieza , calling into question reports of an asteroid collision. Vegeta then dismissed this hypothesis and implied that he did not care and that the Saiyan race deserved to disappear for being weak . 😮
After failing to conquer a planet of too high a level, Vegeta, Nappa and Raditz want to strengthen their group and are convinced that one more Saiyan would make the difference. This is how they end up locating the location of Kakarot, Raditz's younger brother who had been sent to Earth. It is at this moment that the group separates: Raditz heads towards Earth while Nappa goes to conquer another planet alongside Vegeta.
THE STORY OF NAPPA DURING THE DRAGON BALL Z SAGA
Vegeta and Nappa receive an emergency call from Raditz, who has just been defeated by Kakarot and Piccolo. Raditz then reveals the existence of the Dragon Balls in the hopes of being avenged and resurrected. Nappa then considers Raditz returning to life, but Vegeta decides instead to use the crystal balls to become immortal. Furthermore, the prince adds that Raditz deserved to die for having underestimated his opponents. 😮
They note a very surprising level of power from Gohan, Kakarot's son. Let us remember, the potential of Saiyan/human hybrids benefits from very high potential . Wanting to reestablish Saiyan dominance, Nappa suggests taking control of Earth in order to create a race of Super Saiyans. Vegeta does not agree and fears that this new race will become too powerful and endanger the Saiyan race. 👊
The two saiyans arrive on Earth and land in the middle of a large city. Nappa then uses his Volcanic Explosion technique and pulverizes the metropolis . Fearing the possible destruction of a Dragon Ball following this explosion, Vegeta then encourages his companion not to do it again. The two saiyans then set out in search of the crystal balls and end up locating Piccolo, Gohan and Krillin using the power detectors. They then join them very quickly just before the arrival of Tenshinhan, Chaozu and Yamcha. 💥
Using his detector, Nappa reads the Z Team members' power levels and taunts them. Vegeta then tricks Nappa into dropping his detector , explaining that their opponents are capable of hiding their true power levels and that this had cost Raditz his life.
Nappa then plants six seeds in the ground and a group of Saibaimen grows. The first Saibaiman was effortlessly defeated by Ten Shin Han, which greatly shocked Nappa given that his minions' power level was roughly equal to Raditz's power. 🤔
Yamcha is then killed by a Saibaiman, thus triggering the revenge of Piccolo and Kriliin who take it upon themselves to exterminate the rest of the creatures in one fell swoop.
Ready for the fight, Nappa then charges all his energy and rushes at his opponents: using his Arm Break technique, he tears off Tenshinhan's Arm with a single punch .
Nappa later unleashes a powerful explosion towards Krillin using his famous "Firestorm" attack . After momentarily disappearing, Chaozu flies onto Nappa's back, clinging to it in order to self-destruct. The sacrifice was in vain because despite the explosion, the elite Saiyan's battle armor was barely damaged. 📖
Enraged by the death of his best friend, Ten Shin Han then gathers all his remaining energy to charge a final Kikoho. The attack quickly proves ineffective and the Earthling then collapses to the ground, dying within a second. Although he was frightened for a few seconds, Nappa escaped again without serious injuries despite the Kikoho shattering part of his armor. 💥
After the deaths of Chaozu and Ten Shin Han, the Namek decides to come up with a plan to attack and defeat Nappa all together. The plan will not be able to be carried out because Gohan is paralyzed by fear at the idea of fighting against the saiyan.
It is at this moment that Vegeta decides to temporarily interrupt the fight for three hours , to give Goku time to show himself. The Saiyan prince indeed found it amusing that the Earth survivors placed so much confidence in the power of a low-level warrior like Kakarot. 👍
The wait quickly becomes long for Nappa and he decides to have fun to pass the time. He first decided to eliminate the journalists who were filming the fight and then attacked the military forces who were approaching the area. Nappa then destroys numerous armored vehicles and ends by blowing up another city with his Blast Wave attack. 💥
Goku having still not arrived after three hours, Nappa then removes what remains of his armor so that nothing hinders his power and the fight resumes with a vengeance.
Piccolo ends up grabbing the Saiyan's tail but Nappa being immune unlike Raditz then knocks out the Namek with a single elbow strike.
With Piccolo down, the survivors of Z Team are completely powerless against Nappa's power. The Saiyan then uses his sadistic side and decides to have fun torturing Krillin while intimidating Gohan. 😦
In a final effort, Krillin decides to throw a Kienzan at Nappa who will dodge it on Vegeta's advice. The attack still inflicts a scar on the Saiyan's left cheek. Enraged, Nappa decides to deliver the final blow to Krillin but Piccolo intervenes just in time by launching a Ki Blast on the Saiyan. This last attack made Vegeta laugh, who mocked the incompetence shown by Nappa in eliminating his opponents.
Nappa then almost kills Piccolo but quickly decides to manhandle Gohan to relax. Lying face down and suffering the Saiyan's mockery, Gohan lost his patience and struck Nappa with a powerful enraged kick which threw him into a nearby rock formation.
Now mad with rage, the Saiyan then sends a powerful energy attack on Gohan which would undoubtedly have been fatal to him but Piccolo decides to intervene and takes the full brunt of the enemy attack. The Namekian finally takes his last breath and Gohan explodes with rage . Goku's son then uses all his power and sends a powerful Masenko to Nappa who manages to counter the attack almost too easily. The Saiyan still admitted that the attack slightly numbed his arm. 🤔
Nappa is about to finish off Gohan by stepping on him when Goku finally intervenes and saves his son with the supersonic cloud. Son Goku then notices the carnage left by Nappa and the latter does not fail to boast while summarizing the number of victims. After Vegeta reads Goku's power level, Nappa claims that he is sure to win the fight. The Saiyan prince, for his part, is convinced that Kakarot is masking his true power level. ✨
Nappa then attacks Goku, but the latter easily dodges his punch. Their fight continues, with Goku largely dominating the battle. Seeing that Nappa is starting to get angry, Vegeta then encourages his companion to calm down in order to better continue the fight. After regaining control of himself , Nappa then continues the fight with a much better technique but is still dominated by his opponent from afar. In order to make Nappa pay for the death of his friends, Goku then launches a series of violent attacks that cause Nappa to bite the dust several times, thus inflicting heavy damage. 💥
Completely desperate, Nappa then decides to use his ultimate attack and launches his famous Break Cannon at Goku who absorbs the projectile with great ease. Vegeta then loses patience and orders his companion to withdraw. Humiliated and furious , Nappa decides to attack Gohan and Krillin with the firm intention of finishing them off. Having no choice in order to protect his friends, Goku uses the Kaio-Ken technique and intercepts Nappa while breaking his back. 🤛
Defeated, Nappa is thrown at Vegeta's feet by Son Goku. The defeated Saiyan begs Vegeta to help him get up and the latter then grabs his hand, pretending to help him. In response and to punish him for his failure, the Saiyan Prince propels Nappa into the air and finishes him off with a ranged energy attack, declaring that a Saiyan unable to move is a useless saiyan.💀
Once in the Other World, King Enma sends Nappa to the Underworld and the latter leaves to join Raditz.
NAPPA IN DRAGON BALL GT
Thanks to a dimensional hole, Nappa ends up escaping the Underworld with other villains killed several years ago. His first instinct is to blow up a city like he loved to do the time he landed on Earth. Nappa suddenly meets Vegeta, who criticizes him for being "another brainless idiot who only knows how to destroy." The Saiyan prince then gives Nappa a chance to escape while threatening to kill him again. 👊
Responding to the provocation and wishing to avenge his own death, Nappa then furiously throws himself at Vegeta but is killed by a single energy attack.
In Dragon Ball GT, Nappa does not last long against Vegeta.
