Guldo (グルド Gurudo) is the weakest and smallest member of the Ginyu commando in terms of power. He took the oath to Frieza after joining the special forces. Guldo makes up for his lack of power with his many psychic powers.
He is indeed capable of stopping time as long as he is able to hold his breath . During confrontations, Guldo is cowardly and cunning, using deceitful techniques to defeat his opponents.

APPEARANCE
Guldo is a tiny alien with green skin and a round skull. It has four eyes, two normal like humans and two larger ones located on the sides of its head. Like the other members of Frieza's army and the Saiyans, Guldo has white battle armor and a black outfit. The Ginyu Commando symbol is inscribed on one of the plates of his armor. Unlike the others, he does not have a power detector due to the large size of his skull. 😅
PERSONALITY
Guldo hates the Saiyans and especially Vegeta due to the conflicts they had together in the past (only shown in the anime). He thus despises all Saiyan warriors and feels a fierce hatred towards them. He demonstrates this notably when he plays with Reecome, Jeice and Barta in Rock Paper Scissors in the hope of winning the right to face Vegeta after all these years. 😂
Being the weakest member of the Ginyu Commando, Guldo seems to have an inferiority complex and shows great cowardice when the situation does not go as he had planned. Aware of his status in Frieza's army, Guldo is very proud of his position and does everything not to get kicked out of the Special Forces . The mutant is a sadistic alien, this is mainly demonstrated when he enjoys tormenting Krillin and Gohan after paralyzing them. He also shows cruelty when he tells them that he intends to devour them after having skewered them. 👊
Like the other members of the Ginyu Commando, Guldo's special powers were given to him from childhood. He learned to develop and improve his psychic powers over time. ✨
He had to face the other members of the Special Forces during his membership test and managed to prove his worth only thanks to his powers which made a strong impression.
After a Flash-Back exclusive to the anime, we can see the repugnance he feels towards Vegeta after the Saiyan prince insulted Guldo about his appearance and his breath. Vegeta continues by stating that he does not understand the presence of the alien within the Special Forces. Guldo was about to strike Vegeta following the provocation when he was stopped by Frieza. The latter requested the Saiyan prince's help in conquering a planet, which dishonored and humiliated Guldo. 👎
About a year before the Special Forces went to Namek, Guldo was asked to join the Ginyu training club and follow a special diet but refused, choosing to follow a lifestyle of eating food not very healthy. He would later regret this decision as it ruined what little stamina he had. 😵
GULDO IN DRAGON BALL Z: FREEZER SAGA
Shortly after their arrival on the planet Namek and following Frieza 's orders, Guldo and the other members of the Ginyu Commando find Gohan, Krillin and Vegeta when the latter were trying to gather the Dragon Balls in order to summon the sacred dragon. Not wanting to have the Dragon Balls stolen, Vegeta then tries to throw one away but it is intercepted by Barta's supernatural speed . The Saiyan prince then orders Krillin to destroy the ball he was holding but it is at the same moment that Guldo stops time and snatches the Dragon Ball from his hands. 🤛
Guldo then plays a game of Rock-Paper-Scissors with his peers to decide who can fight Vegeta and Recoome wins. Guldo, as second, must fight against Gohan and Krillin to his great regret.
The alien, although very confident at first , is quickly caught off guard by the strength and speed of the two earthlings. Very quickly Guldo decides to use sneaky and cowardly attacks like freezing time in order to counter his opponents. However, the latter are much too fast and Guldo is forced to always escape by slowing down time regularly. The alien, lacking endurance, begins to run out of steam and understands that freezing time will not lead him anywhere. 👽
Seeing that he is totally helpless and overwhelmed , that's when Guldo decides to use the full potential of his powers. He uses mind freeze to paralyze Gohan and Krillin, rendering them completely harmless. Guldo takes the opportunity to punch the earthlings in the face several times while mocking them. After a short session of sadism, the alien then lifts a huge tree trunk cut into a point using his telekinesis in order to skewer his adversaries. ☄
It was just as he was going to finish off Gohan and Krillin that Guldo was decapitated with a sharp blow by Vegeta who had decided to intervene. Guldo's severed head then rolls onto the ground of Namek and then begins to curse the Saiyan prince for not accepting the deal that had been agreed upon. Vegeta then finishes off Guldo with an energy attack which causes a powerful explosion which has the effect of disintegrating the head. 💀
It is only much later and in one arc of the anime only that Guldo goes with Reecome, Jeice and Barta to Master Kaio 's planet . Tenshinhan, Yamcha, Krillin and Chaozu being there at that time, were first afraid of the Commando knowing that Vegeta had been defeated by its members.
Tenshinhan then managed to defeat Barta and Jeice while Yamcha emerged victorious in his fight against Reecome. For his part, Chaozu, who also has psychic powers , manages to overcome his fear and defeat Guldo once and for all. 💥
SAGA OF BUU AND THE OTHER WORLD
In an anime-only scene, Guldo appears with the other members of the Ginyu Commando, alongside Frieza, Super Cell and King Cold . The latter are indeed trying to find a way to escape from Hell . Goku arrives there and knocks out each member of the Special Forces in one hit. Paikuhan then appears and manages to defeat Cell, Frieza and King Cold at the same time. Guldo and the other villains are finally locked together once again in a cell in Hell. 😱
In the Majin Buu saga, we can once again see Guldo in Hell watching the fight between Son Goku and Kid Buu in the company of other villains.
GULDO IN THE OTHER SAGAS
In Dragon Ball GT , Guldo again makes a very small appearance when he escapes from the Underworld with many other villains. However, he is defeated again and very quickly.
In the Broly film , Guldo and the rest of the Ginyu Commando are all present when King Cold and Frieza are visiting Planet Vegeta when the latter announce to the Saiyan army the order to submit entirely to the Galactic Empire of Frieza. GULDO’S FAVORITE ATTACKS
Survival : Just like his master Frieza, Guldo as a mutant is capable of surviving fatal injuries. Indeed, he is able to continue speaking even after being decapitated by Vegeta.
Telekinesis : One of Guldo's favorite techniques is to manipulate people and objects using his mind.
Psychic Rock Throw : Using his telekinetic powers, Guldo is able to lift a rock and throw it at his opponent.
Paralysis : Guldo is capable of creating a veil of blue energy around his opponent preventing the latter from moving.
Psychotic Javelin: Using his telekinesis, Guldo can lift a large, sharp object and throw it at his enemy.
Guldo Special : One of Guldo's favorite attacks. It first emits a sort of beam of white energy which paralyzes the opponent upon contact while surrounding them with a dark purple aura. Next, Guldo summons a series of small tree trunks and finally throws them at his enemy while dealing a large amount of damage.
Freezing Time : This is Guldo's special ability to temporarily stop time, allowing him to hide or flee from combat in case he finds himself in a bad position. He can also use this attack for an offensive approach by methodically analyzing the fight.
100 Hit Punishment : Guldo paralyzes his opponent and executes a long series of punches and kicks, inflicting a lot of damage.
Eye Lasers : Guldo shoots laser beams from his eyes.
SOME INFORMATION ABOUT GULDO

- Its name in Japanese is a play on words meaning " yogurt "
- Its power level is not mentioned precisely but it is less than 10,000 units .
- Guldo's death is slightly different in the manga. Indeed, Vegeta decapitates Guldo by hand unlike in the anime where he uses an energy shot to cut off his head. 💥
- Once again in the manga, Guldo is the only member of the Ginyu commando to have never met Son Goku.
- Guldo is unable to wear a power detector due to the size of his skull and bulky eyes. However, he can easily do without this accessory because he is able to locate his opponents thanks to his psychic strength. 💪
- Although being the weakest member of the Ginyu commando, he is nevertheless dangerous thanks to his powers. Indeed, he is capable of manipulating time much better than Hit but his abilities are however very limited due to his lack of endurance and power.
