DABRA APPEARANCE

The minion discovers that there are no warriors on Earth with high power levels. Dabra is therefore responsible for recruiting people into Babidi's organization. 📔
WORLD TOURNAMENT SAGA
Dabra is first seen when Goku, Gohan, Vegeta, Piccolo and Krillin are led to Babidi's spaceship by Kibito and Shin to help them prevent the awakening of Majin Boo . After killing Yamu and Spopovich and gathering the energy they stole from Gohan, Babidi and Dabra realize that the Dragon Team is hiding in the nearby mountains. Dabra notices that there are seven of them, and that while they cannot use Shin or Kibito's energy , three of the other warriors have great strength. As it takes a huge amount of energy to wake up Majin Boo. Dabra is ordered to kill all but the three strongest and lure the others inside the ship. The evil sorcerer also orders Dabra to spare the Supreme Kai, as he personally wishes to finish him off for murdering his father, which the demon understands and approves of. 💢
Dabra will then kill Kibito . In the anime only, Goku and Vegeta attempt to stop Dabra, but they underestimate him and don't even bother transforming into Super Saiyans as the demon easily resists their attacks. He then quickly jumps into the air and spits at Piccolo and Krillin, turning them to stone, Shin explains that the only way for them to return to normal is for Dabra to die. Dabra then retreats to Babidi's spaceship. 🚀
Then in the ship, Babidi will try experiments on Majin Boo in the company of Dabra. Babidi will then indicate that he intends to send Yakon to battle. Shocked, Dabra says it may be too early to use it but Babidi reminds him not to underestimate the Earthlings, who easily killed Pui Pui. Yakon therefore confronts Goku and Babidi will send them to the planet of Darkness. The Saiyan succeeds in defeating this henchman and Babidi will be surprised at the strength indicated by the scouter when he points it in the direction of Goku.
In disbelief, Babidi can't believe Yakon exploded, but Dabra says he was just stupid to eat more light energy than he could handle. Dabra therefore volunteers to personally take care of Super Saiyan 3 and gather the energy necessary for Majin Boo's rebirth. Babidi worries about Dabra's defeat and asks if he has a plan. Dabra reminds him that as the king of the Demon Realm , no one can stand up to him. 🏰
In the anime, before the fight, Dabra enters a meditation room to focus her energy, ready for the fight. In the manga however, he does no such thing. A confrontation will then follow between Dabra, Goku, Vegeta and Gohan. Although at first it appears that Gohan and Dabra are evenly matched, Goku comes to his senses and states that Dabra might be stronger than he thought thanks to his use of magic.
Eventually, frustrated at not having beaten Gohan yet, Dabra materializes his Sword of Darkness and attempts to strike the half-Saiyan. However, Gohan manages to grab the sword by the hands and break it in half, making Dabra even more frustrated. During his battle with Gohan, Dabra notices Vegeta's bad temper and one-sidedness in settling things with Goku, which gives Dabra an idea. Dabra then withdraws from the fight with Gohan in order to inform Babidi of Vegeta's evil in his heart. Babidi quickly takes advantage of this information and possesses Vegeta, when this was actually what Vegeta wanted all along, in order to gain greater power and finally defeat Goku. 🥊
Dabra then stands alongside Babidi to fight against Shin and Gohan. But before they could begin, the energy released from Vegeta and Goku's fight was already enough to free Majin Buu , as both fighters were fighting in their Super Saiyan 2 forms, the form thought to be the peak of the Super Saiyan states at the time. Dabra and Babidi are then confronted by Gohan and Shin, who want to stop Boo's resurrection once and for all.
SAGA MAJIN BOO
In this saga, Boo emerges from his sleep and will oppose Dabra who insults him for being a useless fool, due to his personality and childish appearance. He will then turn Dabra into a large cookie and eat it, which will free Piccolo and Krillin, previously turned into stone. 🥌
In the afterlife, Dabra is held captive by ogres, as King Enma chose to punish him by sending him to heaven because, being a demon, Dabra would have experienced hell. ANECDOTES ABOUT DABRA
- Its name is taken from the last half of the famous incantation, " Abraca dabra ".
- Much like Vegeta, Dabra loses the M on his forehead after King Enma judges him. This suggests that Dabra may have actually been somewhat "benevolent" during his lordship of the Demon Realm . This would also explain why he seems remorseful for his actions in the anime. However, he must still have had a bad past to have fallen under Babidi's control.
- In the anime, it's strange when we know that Dabra became a good person after being sent to heaven, but his turn to good did not cause the Demon King to be revived by Porunga along with Majin's other victims Boo because he was no longer evil when the wish was made in the anime. This potential plot hole only exists in the anime, however, as Dabra's redemption only takes place in the anime.
