C-19 is the nineteenth and final creation of Doctor Géro. Like the other cyborgs, he was created with the aim of eliminating Son Goku in order to avenge the Red Ribbon Army. C-19 is a dedicated robot who helps Géro in his task after helping the latter obtain immortality. Unlike the C-17 and C-18 models, the cyborg 19 has the ability to absorb the energy of its opponents, just like C-20,
C-19 is a secondary antagonist appearing at the beginning of the Cyborg saga with the aim of helping his creator in his quest for revenge.

APPEARANCE OF C-19:
C-19 is a medium-sized cyborg with a fairly strong build. His skin is completely white and he wears two earrings. He is also dressed in baggy orange pants, a red belt, and white and black combat boots.
Doctor Gero 's android wears a pointy hat with the Red Ribbon Army logo on the front. He has small blue dot eyes and the shape of his skull is quite round. The cyborg also has small red spheres in the center of the palms of its hands that can open in order to absorb the energy of others. Under his hat, C-19 has a reinforced glass globe in which is an artificial mechanical brain. 🧠
PERSONALITY :
Even if C-19 is far from being the most powerful model created by Doctor Géro , it is undoubtedly the most obedient cyborg and the most faithful to its mission and its creator. He is totally dedicated to carrying out Doctor Gero's quest for revenge and is eager to face Goku in order to kill him.
C-19 is also very intelligent compared to other androids as he was able to transform his creator into an absorption model similar to himself. He is very confident in his own abilities and seems to take pleasure in the suffering of his opponents, especially when Son Goku is seriously weakened by his heart disease. The cyborg, however, has a big flaw: just like Raditz who always relied on his power detector, C-19 makes exactly the same mistake by constantly calculating the strength of his enemies with his mechanical device . He relies on the data and statistics of Z Team fighters at the time of the Saiyan saga, which gives him obsolete information . 🤔
C-19 does not realize that he dominates Goku only because of the latter's illness and thus believes that his calculations are correct. He makes the same mistake with Vegeta based on the prince's data during the Saiyan saga and therefore fails to defeat the Super Saiyan form.
Despite his machine state, the android C-19 has the ability to feel fear, especially when he tries to flee Vegeta before dying. This can be explained by the fact that he has an artificial soul .
STORY OF C-19 IN DRAGON BALL Z:
C-19 is Doctor Gero's latest creation and was created primarily with synthetic technology entirely different from other cyborgs. During his career in the Red Ribbon Army , Doctor Géro brought back a doll that decorated the command center of an enemy base and used it as a model to design android 19. 👍
C-19 helped his creator achieve immortality by transforming Doctor Géro into C-20. He in fact transferred the latter's brain into a cyborg body .
C-19 appears for the first time at the beginning of the cyborg saga of Dragon Ball Z, accompanied by C-20, the robotic Doctor Gero. The evil duo begins attacking an island located southwest of South City. The Z Team fighters are unable to locate the cyborgs because they do not have ki. C-19 and C-20 quickly fall on Yamcha who was in an attacked city and the earth defender is quickly knocked out. Doctor Gero grabs Yamcha's head and lifts him off the ground. Using his other hand, the cyborg places it on the earthling's chest in order to absorb all his energy. ✨
As Yamcha 's energy diminishes very quickly, this allows Goku and his friends to find him and therefore locate the cyborgs .
The city having been half destroyed, Goku asks Doctor Gero to go fight elsewhere. Shortly after and wishing to accomplish the mission for which he was created, C-19 requests authorization to fight the Saiyan and he sees his request granted. Son Goku transforms into a Super Saiyan and quickly begins to gain an advantage over his opponent. Unfortunately for him, his heart virus develops with the efforts made and begins to seriously attack his heart. C-19 absorbs the energy of Goku's Kamehameha , which has the effect of strengthening the cyborg. The Saiyan's heart disease increases in intensity and he ends up collapsing to the ground . 😵
C-19 prepares to steal the rest of his opponent's energy but is suddenly knocked aside by a powerful kick to the face. The cyborg gets up furiously and notices that his attacker is none other than Vegeta . C-19 is based on the power of the prince of the Saiyans during the first saga of Dragon Ball Z and then challenges Vegeta, believing that the latter has a level equivalent to that of Goku. The cyborg is however surprised when he realizes that his opponent is also capable of transforming into a Super Saiyan .
The fight begins but the android quickly understands that he can do nothing against Vegeta's power and speed.
In order to change the outcome of the fight, C-19 grabs his opponent's arms, declaring that he will not let go until he has absorbed all his energy . In response, the Prince of Saiyans places his feet on his opponent's head and pulls backwards to tear off the cyborg's arms . Now terrified and helpless, C-19 attempts to flee but quickly dies from the explosion of Vegeta's Big Bang attack . Only the android's still smoking head emerges from the smoke and rolls on the ground. 😅
Some time after the confrontation, Trunks from the future arrives on the battlefield and discovers the head of C-19. He then deduces that the Z Team fighters destroyed the threat but that the androids are different from his timeline .
C-19 IN THE DRAGON BALL GT SAGA:
C-19 makes a new appearance in the Super C-17 saga of Dragon Ball GT when he escapes from the Underworld with many other villains. He is in the company of Pui Pui and the two villains are busy destroying the environment with energy shots. He is quickly spotted by Son Goten and Trunks who launches a barrage of ki shots at him which has the effect of decapitating Doctor Géro's creature once again. 👊
POWER LEVEL:
C-19 is the weakest cyborg of C-20's recent creations, Doctor Gero. The difference in power between him and his creator is not very great, however. Android 19, although it exceeds the level of the majority of Z Team fighters, it is however inferior to the power of the Super Saiyans . Despite his heart condition, Goku far exceeds the level of the cyborg and Piccolo then notices that the android is not that strong . C-19 managed to dominate Goku thanks to the latter's illness and the fact of having increased his power tenfold after absorbing a Kamehameha from the Saiyan.
C-19 managed to hold off against Vegeta in Super Saiyan form for a while but was quickly overwhelmed even after absorbing some of the prince's energy. The cyborg is a more or less failed model compared to the C-17 and C-18 versions which are infinitely superior in terms of power.
THE MAIN ATTACKS OF C-19:
Energy Absorption : This technique is also known as Life Drain 19. the user grabs their opponent with their hands and drains their energy through their palms. C-19 uses this technique numerous times throughout the saga and attempts to use it against Vegeta as a last resort. However, the Prince of Saiyans will prevent him from using this technique by tearing off his arms.
Absorption 19 : the android uses extends the palm of its hand in front of it and absorbs ranged energy attacks that threaten to touch it. If C-19 is injured, energy absorption will then heal him more or less depending on the amount vampired.
Photon Shot : C-19, extends his palm forward and fires a powerful beam of energy towards his opponent.
Evil Carnage : These are two powerful energy blasts fired in opposite directions by C-19 and Pui Pui during the Super C-17 saga of Dragon Ball GT.
Cybernetic Pain : The user charges at their enemy at full speed, dealing heavy melee damage.
Eye Lasers : C-19 fires two energy beams from his eyes. We can see him using this technique in the anime as well as the Raging Blast series.
Bionic Punisher : Improved version of the previous attack and also used by Doctor Géro.
Rolling Crush : C-19 performs a powerful kick to his enemy to then send him into the air and finally crash to the ground. This attack is notably used in the Budokai series.
Pump Up : This is a move in which C-19 increases its stats in order to increase its defense and other characteristics. This technique is mainly used in the Tenkaichi and Raging Blast series.
False Courage : technique used by C-19 in order to double its defense in order to better absorb blows.
C-19 Equipment : The android 19 is equipped with an improved detection system designed by Doctor Géro. The latter is implanted in the cyborg's eyes and the sensors make it possible to locate a target at a very long distance and evaluate the power level. It is good to note that Doctor Géro has the same detector and that both are of the same efficiency.
ANECDOTES:
- According to Dragon Ball Z author Akira Toriyama, the cyborgs C-19 and C-20 were to be the original androids announced by Future Trunks. Its former editor-in-chief Kauhiko Torishima, however, said that the physical appearance of these two characters was a bit ridiculous and lacked originality . Following this information, Toriyama decided to modify the story by highlighting the androids C-17 and C-18 . ☝
- When Vegeta tears off C-19's hands, a thick red liquid gushes out which gives the impression of blood but it is in fact a tinted oil designed to resemble human blood flows as closely as possible.
- Under his hat, C-19 has an electronic brain while C-20 naturally has a human brain.
- C-19 is the only android to have remained faithful until the end to Doctor Géro in his mission to eliminate Son Goku, unlike C-13, C-14 and C-15 . The androids C-17 and C-18 rebelled against their creator by killing him and C-16 also ended up abandoning his mission to eliminate the Saiyan.
- Despite his loyalty to Doctor Géro and his status as a cyborg, C-19 still seems to feel fear when he tries to flee the fight against Vegeta after having his hands torn off . Even if he does not feel pain, he is unable to absorb energy and prefers to flee in panic.
- Interesting information from Dragon Ball FighterZ informs us that Doctor Géro has developed technology allowing the creation of artificial souls. This perfectly explains why artificial androids like C-19 can go to Hell after death. 💀
- C-19 is one of the few characters in the series to die the same way twice. Indeed, he dies by decapitation in Dragon Ball Z and in Dragon Ball GT.
- The effects and voice modifiers used for C-19 vary enormously depending on the different dubbings. In the Japanese version he has an almost human voice and in certain remastered versions, the cyborg has a slightly more robotic dubbing. In the American version, C-19 has a rather high-pitched voice that strongly resembles that of Majin Buu .
- In the Raging Blast video game series, there is a special dialogue between Chaozu and C-19. Doctor Géro's android accuses Chaozu of copying his appearance.
