One of Beerus's first designs was said to have been a lizard, before Dragon Ball author Akira Toriyama decided to change the character entirely.

SAGA: THE BATTLE OF THE GODS
Our dear God of Destruction is slowly waking up after thirty-nine years of sleep. Accompanied by Whis , he immediately leaves to visit a planet inhabited by humanoids who look like pigs. Beerus examines most of the foods presented to him with great interest. He quickly devours them and declares that he is rather satisfied. Except for one reason: There is too much fat in the dish. He thus decides to destroy half of the planet with a simple hit on the table. Before leaving, Whis declares that his action is harsh. Beerus justifies his choice by claiming that fat is unhealthy and has a lethargic effect. 🍖
Following this event, Beerus remembers his dream. He cannot distinguish the warrior he fought against. Impatient after waiting 2 minutes and 20 seconds, Beerus travels with Whis to another planet, with the aim of destroying it. While observing the carnage, he managed to remember his dream, he visualized the silhouette of the warrior and perceived him as a potential powerful opponent, capable of entertaining him in combat. 🥊
He returns to his planet and decides to consult the oracle fish . After threatening him, the fish remembers the prophecy and tells him about the Super Saiyan Divine. 🐟
Beerus learns that several saiyans survived the genocide and that Frieza was defeated by Goku. Intrigued, he sets out to find it. He leaves with Whis for the small planet of Kaio . On the way, he decides to destroy about eight planets. 💥
Once he arrives, he notices Goku and wonders whether or not he is the Divine Super Saiyan. The latter transforms into Super Saiyan 3 to confront him, but it will be a resounding failure. The God of Destruction knocks him out and heads to Earth to find Vegeta, who is at his wife Bulma's birthday party. 🎂
Vegeta immediately recognizes the terrible God of Destruction and will bend over backwards to avoid angering him. The others don't seem to know him and are completely unaware of the danger of the situation.

Goku and his friends decide to summon Shenron in order to figure out how to find the Divine Super Saiyan. They learn that this saiyan can appear when six pure-hearted saiyans gather their power on one of them. This is how Son Goku manages to achieve the famous Super Saiyan Divine form, thanks to the help of Vegeta, Gohan, Goten, Trunks and Pan. 🐉
A magnificent and long battle will follow between Goku and Beerus. In the end, our hero ends up losing his divine form to return to a normal super saiyan. SAGA: THE RESURRECTION OF “F” (Golden Frieza Saga)
After the events of Battle of the Gods , Beerus decides to go back to sleep. While he sleeps, Goku and Vegeta train with Whis . When Beerus wakes up, he wonders why his mentor agrees to train the two saiyans. He learns that they bring him delicious food from planet Earth. He discovered pizza and instant pasta in particular. 🍕
It is in this saga that we meet Champa and Vados for the first time. Champa being the twin brother of Beerus and Vados the older sister of Whis. They then head back to Earth to devour a succulent strawberry ice cream, prepared by Bulma. They will taste it while watching Goku and Golden Frieza fight. The God of Destruction is impressed by the power of this transformation. He nevertheless decides to remain neutral in this story.
When Frieza destroys the Earth before dying, Beerus agrees to go back in time and save the planet . He seems determined to protect this food supply! 🍭
SAGA: UNIVERSE 6
Champa arrives on Beerus' planet and wakes him up. It's time for a "food fight" during which the two deities must present dishes from their universe to the other. Champa discovers instant pasta and recognizes its incredible flavor. He inquires to find out what world they come from. He subsequently learns that the Earth of his Universe has been destroyed. 💥
He therefore subsequently proposes a competition between the two universes 6 and 7, putting Earth as the prize. Each universe must present 5 champions. If Champa wins, he uses the Super Dragon Balls to swap Earth into his universe. If Beerus wins, his brother will give him the precious crystal balls. 🐉
Beerus accepts and summons his team: Goku, Vegeta, Piccolo, Mister Boo as well as "the strongest person he has ever faced", Monaka . The latter actually has no power.

Trunks from the Future returns to the present to warn of a serious new threat . Beerus and Whis become angry when they see that humans have succeeded in manipulating time. ⏳
